We’re a club associated to the Applied Karate Association and specialise in Shotokan karate for self defence, street combat, competition and personal/physical development. We’re a family friendly Shotokan Karate Club that teaches combative self-defence skills to make you street smart and safe. Our aim is to give students confidence in their daily lives because Karate has been shown to increase concentration and mental acuity. These qualities alone, can help you get ahead in your studies or the workplace. We integrate the effectiveness of traditional Japanese karate with modern street scenarios. All levels of students are welcome to the classes from complete beginners to those who have considerable karate experience.
We offer a combination of training opportunities for all levels.
Tuesday afternoons at St Julian’s Church Hall, Rectory Road, Shoreham BN43 6EB behind Shoreham College from 5.30 to 6.30 kids.
Following on from 6.30pm, Tuesday evenings, we host adult beginners, intermediate and advanced students.
Wednesday afternoons at St Mary Magdalen’s School, Spring Street, Brighton BN1 3EF from 5.30-6.30 for kids aged 5 years plus. This venue is just off Western Road in central Brighton, behind McDonalds and has ample parking for car users.
Saturday mornings beginner kids from 09.00am to 09.50am and from 10.00am we host adult beginners, intermediate and advanced students at Southwick Leisure Centre, Old Barn Way, Southwick BN42 4NT you can book your child’s free class trial immediately here https://calendly.com/anthonyasquith/60min
Training fees
We operate a competitively priced monthly payment plan to ensure that we’re universally affordable.
Adults
Training twice weekly £65.00 per month
Training once a week £50.00 per month
Children (up to age 16)
Training twice weekly £50.00 per month
Training once a week £35.00 per month
Visitors from other clubs on a one off basis are £12.50 per class.
We run classes 48 weeks of the year and our pricing model reflects value for money and excellent standards of teaching and coaching. If you or your child take a holiday, you will be expected to pay the monthly subscription although we will consider payment holidays on compassionate grounds too by application of the member/parent
